Autoresponder Guide: Infinite Responder, Free Mail Marketing service, Email software, How To install

If you want to retain your prospects, the best way is using an auto-responder to build a long relationship with them… There are a lot of Auto-responders yes, but they cost a lot of Money… I’ll show you an alternative to Aweber, e-reponder (GVO), Get Response, Etc. It costs you nothing, but a little time to install it on your website and put it to work.

Autoresponder: Infinite Responder Subscribers Limit: No HTML Messages: Yes Price: FREE (Freeware) Download: http://infinite.ibasics.biz/index.php#download Do not worry about the process, This is a Step By Step Guide.

<!–more–>

Step 1: Download the latest package clicking here (official Site): infinite_responder_148e.zip (750k)

Step 2: Go to the folder where you downloaded the file and unzip it (right click on the file name).

Step 3: Infinite Responder needs a MySql database so that it can work. So, create the database in Cpanel. Go to http://yourdomain.com/cpanel Enter your user and Password, Scroll down and click MySQL Database Wizard on DATABASES

Create a new Database (write a name) Example: yourserver_infinite and click Create

Database

Create a database user name and introduce a password. Remember to copy-paste these three fields on Notepad (Database, Username, Password), (this information is going to be needed later). Click on Create User

You must give your user ALL PRIVILEGES as shown bellow

Step 4: You need to make a little changes to the config.php file located in your unziped folder of infinite responder. Open config.php with notepad and enter the information you saved on previous steps… You will need:

  • DataBase Name
  • Database User
  • User Password

Step 5: Access your FTP from your FTP client. One great and free client is FileZilla. If you haven’t installed Filezilla, you can download it http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/ . You need to create a folder named infinite-responder in your public_html directory if you have only one domain. If you want to install infinite-responder on another domain, you can create the folder infinite-responder on public_html/your-domain

Step 6: Now is the time to upload your files… Upload all infinite-responder unzipped files to infinite-responder folder that you have just created. Almost 600 files will be uploaded, so take a break and wait till finish…

Step 7: Go to your web browser and write http://www.your-domain-name.com/infinite-responder. If the three fields (Database, Username, Password) are not correct on your config.php file, you will get “$MySQL_server not set in config.php” message. If they are ok, you will get a message asking for the password for admin user. Enter the password and click on Save Changes

Click on Back to Admin button. Enter admin for user and the password just created on step 3

Step 8:Now we can Creat the First Campaign. Click Edit Reps

Step 9: Click on Add a Responder button. We are going to create a new responder. Enter the required information as shown Below

Enter a warm welcome message on Opt-In Confirmation Page field, asking your prospects to accept the messages we are going to send on his/her inbox and accept the subscription…

Step 10: Now We can create the messages we are going to send to suscribers. in main page, click on the pencil picture beside your Responder (just created). At the end of the page and click on Add a New Message .

Fill in the subject and body, and let’s send a message every day (put 1 on Days field on Sequential Timing part;yes, opting in on your website).

Click on Save. Add following messages with the same process and do not forget to change the sequential timing to 2, 3, etc.

Step 11: You need to create an Opt-In Box to collect your subscribers info (email, name, etc). Click Back Button, At the main page, Click on Code IT! You will get the html code to put into your pages and the form will be like this one. Obviously, if you know Html you can customize it…

Step 12: The task of sending automated emails is done by our Web hosting. There is a Cpanel Section Called CronJob, and this is the place we need to go now… Remember: http://yoursite.com/cpanel

Create a Cron Job. On Email field write an email address where you would like to receive a notification everytime your cron job runs. (I use it just for testing).

On Common Settings field choose Once a day from the list . On Command field copy this line php /home/user-name/public_html/your-domain-name.com/infinite-responder/sendmails.php user-name = Your Hosting User Name your-domain-name = The domain name where you installed Infinite Responder Thas all folks, you can read the full documentation here: http://infinite.ibasics.biz/manual.html
